When I paint a portrait, I am searching for the fleeting but undeniable truth that arises in small, unguarded moments.

I approached the canvas with the intention of preserving that fragile tension between the subject and the viewer, to slow the gaze,

to create a space where one can feel the quiet intensity of human presence, and the ways we measure ourselves against others.
